Rebecca Teasdale, PhD

About
Dr. Teasdale earned her PhD in educational psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She holds an MA in library and information science from the University of Iowa and a BA in biology from the University of Northern Iowa.
Dr. Teasdale is an evaluation methodologist, specializing in the valuing process in evaluation with an emphasis on the selection and application of evaluative criteria. Her research builds an empirically supported, descriptive theory of valuing and develops methods for specifying endogenous and individualized evaluative criteria. She conducts evaluations of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education programs in informal and formal learning contexts, particularly programs that aim to foster equity in STEM learning.
Dr. Teasdale’s substantive research interests include STEM learning in adulthood, making and makerspaces, and STEM learning across settings.
