The knowledge and skills gained throughout the coursework can be immediately applied to a student’s occupation. Some courses even include assignments students can customize by bringing in data sets or developing tools and plans that are relevant to their current job.
The curriculum offers students the opportunity to learn all four measurement paradigms – Classical Test Theory, Generalizability Theory, Item Response Theory and Rasch Measurement. Knowing all four areas prepares students for a larger range of career opportunities in the public and private sectors.
Students will be taught, mentored and supported by highly engaged, nationally recognized UIC faculty and adjunct instructors who work full-time in MESA-related fields.
